Whites boss heaps praise on Irish winger
Fulham boss Martin Jol has heaped praise on winger Damien Duff, comparing the Irishman to Baynern Munich star Arjen Robben,
The 33-year-old has been in top form of late and is set to face former club Chelsea this evening at Craven Cottage.
The Blues spent £17million to bring Duff to Stamford Bridge from Blackburn and despite his advancing years, Jol believes the winger is still world class.
“I’ve known Damien for a long time. I’ve managed teams against him,” the Dutchman said.
“If you get him on the ball higher up the pitch I think he’s a real handful — he’s like Robben.
“But if you have to defend 4-4-2, it’s different for him. He will work because he’s educated like that — unbelievable.
“He’s disciplined and a team player.”
