Fulham star Brede Hangeland hailed fellow defender Philippe Senderos after he scored the winner against Wigan at Craven Cottage yesterday.

The Latics had taken the lead before Pavel Pogrebnyak and the Swiss defender made it 2-1 to the Whites.

And his skipper believes that Senderos made the difference between the two sides.

“I thought Philippe had a good game. I was really happy for him to score the deciding goal.

“It doesn’t really matter who scores the goals as long as you win but you could see he was really pleased and we’re all pleased for him so it’s happy days.

“It looks like they were going to frustrate us because it was a difficult game against a team that’s been on a really good run.

“When they scored it was looking a bit difficult but to be honest I thought we deserved to win.”
