Fulham transfer news: Danny Murphy confident he will sign new deal with the Whites

Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy believes he will remain at Craven Cottage this season, despite the fact he has yet to sign a new deal with the club.

The 35-year-old’s current contract expires at the end of the campaign and it has been rumoured that QPR were keen to sign the former Liverpool man.

However Murphy has moved to downplay those suggestions and is keen to stay with the Whites.

“I have spoken to the club a couple of times but there’s no great urgency with me because I’m happy and they are happy with me,” Murphy told The Sun.

“I’d be surprised if it didn’t get sorted.

“The squad is as good as it’s been. You can take three or four out and put three or four in and not worry,” added Murphy.
