Andy Johnson was unhappy about being played in a wide position

QPR new boy Andy Johnson has revealed that he fell out with Fulham manager Martin Jol after leaving the Whites as a free agent.

The Dutchman was also believed to have fallen out with Bobby Zamora as well and both now ply their trade at Loftus Road.

“Martin Jol is a great coach, but the truth is we didn’t see eye to eye,” said Johnson.

“I had several conversations with him about playing me out wide, but they went nowhere.

“I can play the role, but it’s not my best position, and there are not many wingers who score a lot of goals from out wide.

“Last year I don’t think I got the amount of games my early-season form warranted.”
