Rodallega’s debut goal is a good omen for Fulham
Steve Sidwell believes Fulham’s goal threat has been given a huge boost with the signing of Hugo Rodallega.
The former Wigan Athletic man netted the only goal on his debut as the Whites beat MK Dons 1-0 last night.
The midfielder now hopes his new team-mate can carry his promising start into Saturday’s final pre-season game against Charlton and then to their home Premier League start against Norwich a week later.
“You can see from some of his runs that if you spot him and give him the ball, he can create chances and score goals,” Sidwell told the Fulham website.
“Hopefully he’s going to settle in very quickly. You could probably say we were a bit light up front before pre-season but with the players we have now it’s not a problem.
“[Mladen] Petric has scored five times in the friendlies and then Hugo’s come in and scored as well.
“Now it’s up to the rest of us to chip in with goals.”
