Lingfield Park is offering free entry to all racegoers for their additional meeting on Monday July 30 when they stage a seven race card with racing commencing at 2.25pm.

Today’s bonus meeting was initiated because of the bad weather earlier this month that led to a host of abandonments and Lingfield has decided to give everybody the opportunity to enjoy a day at the races, by offering complimentary entry.

“The bonus day was one of four days rearranged by the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) because of the bad weather,” Kate Hills, the public relations manager for Lingfield told London24.

“We wanted people who might not ordinarily come to know about it so we decided to throw the gates open and offer free entry. We are looking forward to a great day’s racing.”

Gates open at 12.25pm and the last race is set to go off at 5.40pm.
