A total of 33 runners contest Sandown’s six race card this afternoon following the withdrawals of Gold Sceptre and Dovils Date in the finale.
The going is now soft on the round course and soft, heavy in places on the sprint course. The first of the two races on the sprint course at 2.10pm went to the Ed Walker trained Faithfully at odds of 5-2 and ridden by Neil Callan.
The Henry Candy trained Jocasta Dawn is taken to land the second race at 2.40. The twice raced Kyllachy filly won on heavy ground at Yarmouth last month and is good value at 5-2.
The first race on the round course is a Class 5 over seven furlongs at 3.15 where the Richard Hannon trained Sublimation may prove to have too many guns for his trio of rivals.
The best bet of the day may be course and distance winner Mountain Range in the 4.20 who won here on soft ground last July.
In other races, Oojooba is chosen to best some of her better fancied rivals in the 3.50. Tidal Way, who won on soft ground at Thirsk last year, is the pick in the last race.
