The Queen’s racing and bloodstock manager John Warren has given an upbeat report ahead of Estimate contesting the Group 2 DFS Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster today.

The three-year-old who is trained for the Queen by Sir Michael Stoute was a popular winner at Royal Ascot this year when justifying favouritism to win the Group 3 Queen’s Vase by five lengths under jockey Ryan Moore.

She followed up with a three length third in the Group 3 Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood to Wild Coco who re-opposes today and Warren anticipates a big run.

“She has been prepared for the race since her run at Glorious Goodwood. Everything has gone smoothly and Sir Michael is very happy with her well-being,” Warren said of the daughter of Monsun who is currently available at 10-3 in the market headed by Wild Coco at 7-4.

“She needs a test of stamina and hopefully this will suit her,” he added. “She is a nice staying, progressive filly and on the upgrade. I think the return to a more conventional and galloping track like Doncaster will suit her.

“With three-year-old fillies that mature like Estimate has been doing, you are always hopeful that there is a few pounds of improvement in them as they progress to each race.

“She is bred to improve and fillies like her tend to do so at this time of year, so I would say there is every chance she will go forwards as opposed to backwards.

“All options will be open to her after the DFS Park Hill Stakes and anything stamina orientated will be her bag.”
