Charlton midfielder reacts to Derby loss: We’re better than that

Danny Green has told Charlton they must improve after they found themselves 3-0 down against Derby County on Tuesday night.

Green pulled one back in the 70th minute before Yann Kermorgant notched a second to make it 3-2 and ensure a tense finale.

But despite their late push, Chris Powell’s side slumped to their third defeat of the season.

“We’re disappointed with the way we started the game, we know we’re better than that,” Green told Charlton’s official website.

He added: “Last 30 minutes when we were 3-0 down we went for it.

“We even could have won the game with the chances we had.”
