Daggers skipper wants his side to maintain their good form through the Easter period
Captain Mark Arber wants Daggers to extend their unbeaten run through Easter as they prepare for matches with Burton Albion and Gillingham.
John Still’s side have taken 10 points from their last four matches, including a 1-0 win at Port Vale on Saturday.
And Arber wants his side to maintain their good form over the Bank Holiday weekend to ensure they successfully achieve League Two survival.
“We’ve never thought we can’t do this,” said Arber. “I know the fans started to doubt the spirit of this football club. But the spirit here is something that will remain long after I’m gone.
“Players have been and gone, but the likes of myself, Peter Gain and Jon Nurse have carried it on and hopefully when we pack up our boots the foundations have been laid and that’s what pulls us through in moments of difficulty, so we knew we could do it.
“It isn’t done yet though, that’s the big point to remember. We’ve given ourselves breathing space and we’ve got a six game season now.”
