Clevedon Golf Club held their invitation day with 64 members and visitors taking part.

SIXTY four members and their guests who travelled from as far afield as South Hertfordshire and Devon took part in Clevedon Golf Club men’s shotgun start invitation day competition.

While the course was in an excellent condition, a stiff breeze provided all players with a stern test, but this did not deter son and father pairing, Craig and Jon Manson (Mendip Spring), who scored 43 points to run out clear winners.

Chris Patterson and his partner, Mike Roberts (Tall Pines) were runners-up with club stalwart Willy Rowlinson and Rich Boulding (Henbury) in third place.

Results: Craig and Jon Manson (Mendip Spring) 43 pts; Chris Patterson and Mike Roberts (Tall Pines) 40; Willy Rowlinson and Rich Boulding (Henbury) 40.
