Two years after Kent racing driver Mike Conway was lucky to survive a massive smash at the Indianapolis 500 when his car launched and was torn apart by the catch fencing, he is in the wars again – with a very similar wreck.

Amazingly, this time he was able to walk away.

It happened on Sunday during the Indy Car series at the world famous track. The Sevenoaks driver had just pitted and run over several of his pit crew.

He sent them tumbling over the car, and the front wing was broke. Conway left the pits with the intention of coming in the very next lap, but the broken wing meant he lost control, spun and was then sent literally flying through the air again by series leader Will Power, who was also unhurt.
