Clevedon Golf Club senior Dave Tinker retained the Baxter Trophy.
ONE hundred and eighteen competitors, representing clubs from as far afield as Devon, Dorset and south Wales took part in Clevedon seniors’ individual 18-hole open competition.
While early starters had the best of the weather, home member David Tinker, one of the last to set off, made light of the subsequent rain sodden conditions and for the second year running finished at the top of the leader board with 39 points to win the Baxter Trophy.
Results - Division 1 - first and overall winner of the Baxter Trophy: David Tinker 39 pts; Alan Stewart 37. First visitor: Ray Broome (Filton) 35. Division 2: Mike Macdonald 38.
