On President’s Day the prematch Spider was won by J Skinner. The overall competition was won by G Blackmore, R Perryman, L Ley and K Lovering with + 21.

The runners up were J Dibble, A Hughes, A Coyne and D Coyne with +18. The day was an outstanding success as well over £225 was raised for the president’s charity, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

●The men’s team enjoyed a win at home against Seaton by 81-70. The winning rinks were F Brooks, M Evans, J Livings and A Kury 22-10, S Nevill, G Phillips, A Evans and M Eveleigh 23-21 and F Jones, G Skinner, R Smith and R Arundell 20-19. The ladies team played away at Seaton and lost by 34-76.

The men’s over-60s A team maintained their recent good form with a narrow win over Culm Vale C by 35-33. The winning rink was J Livings, M Chipperfield and A Evans 19-14. The B team tied their away match with Marina C at 34-34. The winning rink was G Phillips, F Imms and D Evans 24-14.The ladies defeated Crediton in an East Devon League match by 37-35. The winning rink was G Blackmore, Ru Clarke, L Eveleigh and Ruby Veitch 22-18.

Congratulations to the Feniton couple Steve and Lynda Dommett who became section 3 winners of the Devon mixed pairs competition. They defeated Mary Anne Dowrick and Mike Powell by 19-17.
