THE North Devon Netball League has started with many teams embracing the ‘fast-net’ style and scoring extra points for shooting outside the circle.
The first four pointer was scored by Dill Lee for Venners Bakery Pythons on their way to defeating newcomers CPB Navigators.
Division 6 Carol Anne Opals stormed to victory in both of their matches with Ellie Carter and Emily Pettett each netting three and four point goals.
In division 1, Venners Bakery Vipers defeated Neptune with two long shots from Katrina Venner. Neptune’s shooters Nicky Hinton and Mel Barnard found their range in their second match against Carol Anne Diamonds, but it was not enough as Diamonds’ Levi O’Brien hit back with her own long range shots.
New team Blue Oasis showed their class to take the early lead in Division 4 and Venners Misfits scored maximum points in Division 5, with Julia Board and Lisa Cetinkaya netting three pointers.
