Play-off race heating up
Monday
Elite League
Coventry Bees v Lakeside Hammers (7.30pm)
It’s a busy night of Elite League action with Hammers and their rivals all chasing vital points.
Fourth-placed Hammers visit a Bees side who are due to welcome back captain Chris Harris after a week out with concussion for a televised meeting.
But Scott Nicholls remains sidelined with a shoulder injury for the home side.
Davey Watt raced to a full maximum and Peter Karlsson a paid maximum as Hammers held off a spirited Eastbourne side at Purfleet last Friday.
Stuart Robson returns to their line-up in place of Kauko Nieminen as Hammers look for revenge against a Coventry side who knocked them out of the cup in June.
Birmingham, meanwhile, face a local derby with Wolverhampton and will be hoping Hammers slip up so they can close the six-point gap between the two sides.
King’s Lynn welcome Niels-Kristian Iversen back from a knee injury as they visit Belle Vue, with their own hopes of a play-off spot still very much alive with seven matches remaining.
Coventry: Harris, Roynon, Kennett, Larsen, Summers, Szczepaniak.
Hammers: Watt, Nilsson, Karlsson, Davidsson, Robson, Sedgmen, Mear.
