JERRAN Hart has returned to Scunthorpe for a second spell with the club as a replacement for the injured Tom Armstrong.
Hart rode for the Scorpions in 2009-10 before joining Ipswich last year, but found himself without a team place at the start of this season.
Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Jerran is still a young lad, and capable of progressing. He knows his way around all the Premier League tracks. He’s keen to make up for lost time, and he’s a proven point-scorer around the Eddie Wright Raceway.
“I think his signing does make us stronger and gives us extra firepower – it gives us seven riders who can all go out and win a race at any point of the meeting. We have ambitions to win some silverware this season, and I think the addition of Jerran puts us in a better position to achieve those ambitions.”
