Shane Byrne and Stuart Easton confident heading into this weekend’s races
Kawasaki duo Shane Byrne and Stuart Easton are aiming for their first British Superbikes victory of the season this weekend in Cheshire.
Byrne finished third at Thruxton last time out, but is yet to celebrate victory and the Kent ace is keen to rectify that in the three races this weekend.
“It has been nice to have a few weekends off after the back to back first rounds but I am definitely ready to get back out on the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki now!” Shakey said.
“The break has been useful though as it has given us the chance as a team to suss out a bit of a plan of attack for Oulton Park so we can move forward again.
“I am looking forward to the weekend as it is one of my favourite tracks and for the team; they treat it as something of a home round. It is important that we are on top form, build on the podium from Thruxton and then the aim is to fight our way up some steps of the podium, hopefully to the top one!”
Easton added: “I think Thruxton showed that we have the pace and moving on to Oulton Park I am really looking forward to it. The track will be more physical but I have been making big inroads with my strength all the time. I think the time off since Thruxton will only help this again as I have been able to continue my training and preparation. I really want to build on our result from Thruxton now and I think we can continue to push on and start to peg some of the leading guys back. It is one of my favourite tracks and hopefully with three races we can score some good points for the championship.”
