The batsman will return to Lord’s
Opening batsman Scott Newman is to return to Middlesex after Kent decided against renewing his loan deal.
The 32-year-old scored just 215 runs at 23.9, losing his place to Sam Northeast for the Canterbury based side’s innings win over Leicestershire.
Newman will return to Lord’s to compete with Sam Robson, Joe Denly and Chris Rogers for a spot in the side.
