Toby Roland-Jones has extended his contract with the county until the end of the 2014 season

Middlesex fast bowler Toby Roland-Jones has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2012 season.
In the two seasons the 23-year-old has spent with the club he has taken 68 wickets at an average of 22, earning him an inclusion in England’s winter Performance Programme.
“It is great for Middlesex CCC to have secured Toby’s services for at least the next three years,” Middlesex Managing Director Angus Fraser said.
“Like John Simpson, who signed a contract extension before Christmas, Toby is an extremely talented and hard-working player.
“These are the type of cricketers I want to build Middlesex’s future around.
“Hopefully he will be bowling for Middlesex CCC for the next ten years or more.
“Toby has come a long way in an extremely short space of time. This time two years ago there was a danger he may have slipped out of the game.
“He is now one of the most exciting young bowlers in the country; hence his involvement in this winter’s England Performance Programme.
“Toby has and continues to benefit from working with Richard Johnson, Middlesex CCC’s Assistant Coach and there is still plenty of scope for him to become an even better bowler.
“With Steven Finn looking more like an international bowler every week Toby is set to get the chance to secure a permanent place in our first team.”
