Mike Powell enjoys playing with the former England wicket-keeper

New Kent signing Mike Powell is looking forward to being reunited with former team-mate Geraint Jones.
The pair first played together when the former England wicket-keeper moved to the UK from Australia.
“If I had to pick one player out, it would be Geraint. We spent a number of years in my village, Crickhowell,” Powell told BBC Radio Kent.
“We actually played rugby union together for a year or two. I am very close with Geraint.”
Their paths first crossed while the former Glamorgan batsman was in Australia, Powell confirmed.
“In 1996 when I went over to Australia to play grade cricket I actually played against Geraint, so I’ve known him for a long time,” he said.
