The youngsters beat Wyberton Wildcats 3-1 in the final to lift the Fenland League Cup after a frantic second half.

Fern Paterson put them ahead before Emma Searle’s scorching 20-yard free-kick doubled their lead. The Wildcats hit back but Paterson’s injury-time strike secured the trophy.

Manager Gary Davis said: “It was a great team performance to beat a very strong Wildcats side. The girls deserve their success this season.”

The club hope to field an 11-a-side team next season and are looking for girls in school years 10 and 11 to play. For more information contact Gary on 07824 337771.
