This week was very quiet for Seaton Bowls Club. There were several days of competitions for Bowls Devon on the green and no friendly matches at all, writes Linda Stone.

There was, however, excellent news from the Bowls Devon over 55men’s competition.

Roger Woolland beat D Drew from St Austell. He now will be competing in the All England quarter finals taking place in Worthing.

The ladies played an away match, in the ladies’ over-50s league against Crediton Green, which they won, gaining all six points.

Finally, congratulations go to Angie Mayhew, Linda Stone and Barbara Thompson who went to Honiton to play in the Triples invitation competition, which they had won last year. In a really enjoyable afternoon’s play they finished up with a score of +24 and retained the Rose Bowl for a further year.
