Shane Byrne is hoping to replicate his Oulton Park achievements at Snetterton this weekend.

The Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki rider picked up his first win of the season in the previous round and he is hoping to build on that momentum at the Norfolk circuit.

Byrne came close to a victory at circuit last year when the championship raced on the redeveloped ‘300’ configuration for the first time and the double champion is determined to add to his winning tally.

He said: “It felt great to leave Oulton Park with a win in the bag for the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team and also nice to have a couple of weeks to reflect on it and what we can do next.

“I am really looking forward to Snetterton and trying to replicate what we achieved at Oulton Park. At some circuits a few tenths can be made up and isn’t a drama but at Snetterton there are no half measures and that for me is how I like to ride.”

Easton meanwhile will race for the first time on the 2.99-mile circuit after missing the race last year through injury but is relishing the challenge after completing laps there in the pre-season test.

He said: “I am feeling pretty pleased after the first three rounds. I didn’t race at Snetterton last season and in the test I didn’t do many laps so I don’t have a huge amount of data, but that won’t be an excuse as we have a good base setting with the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki.

“My aim remains for the top six in the standings and there is still definitely more to come from both me and the bike. I am enjoying racing and as a rider that is when I perform at my best.”
