It was back in the year 2000 that Walter last won the title but home advantage helped her out after heavy rain made the playing difficult and she scooped the prize for a second time when she posted an excellent gross 77.

In the nett competition seven players recorded a score of 74 with Fay Allison (Brampton Park) claiming top spot on count back from Jacquie Richardson (Old Nene), Diane Amps (Bourn), Marcella Tuttle (Links), Paula Ewing (St Ives), Judy Morris (Bourn) and Chris King (Bourn).

County captain Jane McGuffog (Gogs) and Laura Todd (Ely City) clinched top spot in the afternoon foursomes with a solid 36 points. With four pairs on 35 points, second place went to Walter and Paula Ewing (St Ives) on countback from Bourn pairing Morris and King.
