Surrey batsman Mark Ramprakash has retired from all forms of cricket after over 20 years in the county game.
The 42-year-old made 458 First Class appearances and averaged 53.53, with 114 centuries to his name. His highest score was 301*, scored against Northamptonshire in August 2006.
Ramprakash made 52 appearances for England in Tests but struggled at the highest level, averaging 27.32 with only two centuries.
“I’d like to formally announce my retirement from first-class cricket. I’d like to express how lucky I feel to have had such a long career,” said Ramprakash.
The batsman is better known in the wider world after winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2006.
