GREAT Britain’s Laura Trott, of Welwyn Wheelers, Joanna Rowsell and Dani King set a new world record in the team pursuit at the Track Cycling World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.
The new mark of 3mins 16.850secs qualified the GB team for the final where they will face hosts Australia.
The qualifying began with the Aussies setting a world record, previously held by GB, only for Trott and co to re-claim the record just minutes later.
Both nations will now go head-to-head for the gold at the Hisense Arena.
