Middlesex and England batsman Eoin Morgan believes that Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar will reach his 100th international hundred.

Tendulkar is renowned as one of the greatest batsman of all time with debate raging whether he or Sir Don Bradman (who averaged 99.94 in his test career) is the greatest.

“He’s a frighteningly good cricketer, probably the best ever, and I fully expect him to reach the landmark,” Morgan told Cricket World.

Morgan underwent surgery on his right shoulder at the end of a successful summer, forcing him to miss the recent tour of India, however he is getting back to full fitness ahead of England’s tour to the United Arab Emirates to face Pakistan.

“I will be fit in about three weeks which I’m happy about. I’m going out with the performance team to India in a few days,” he added.

“Pakistan will be a good challenge for us. We’ve got to be on top of our game. Having comfortably beaten India in the summer, Pakistan will be a big challenge and a testing time.”

Tendulkar has scored 51 centuries in Test cricket (averaging 56 with a top score of 248*).

He also has scored 48 centuries in One Day Internationals (averaging 45 with a top score of 200* - the only double hundred scored in ODI cricket) and will have his chance to reach the landmark on Thursday against the West Indies in Indore.
