Londoners Tommy Hill and Shane Byrne will be the home favourites as the British Superbike Championship returns Brands Hatch this weekend.

The Kent circuit is popular with Londoners due to its proximity with the capital and with two local riders battling for the top step on the podium a sizable crowd is expected.

Championship leader Hill, from Beckenham, pitches his Swan Yamaha against the Ninja ZX-10R of Lambeth born Byrne, who is 29 points behind his rival, as the title battle heads into the second half of the season.

There is also a chance for visitors to test ride a motorcycle as part of the Kawasaki On the Road Tour.

With a huge range of bikes from 250cc to 1700cc to test ride, the company is running accompanied road rides from 09.00 to 16.00 on Saturday for those that being both parts of their driving licence and sign a disclaimer.
