Defending superbike champ wins all three races at Cheshire circuit
Tommy Hill put in a commanding performance in the latest round of the British Superbike Championships at Oulton Park after winning all three races.
It means he is now 18 points ahead of second placed Josh Brookes who also had a strong weekend with two seconds, and a third, while Sheppey rider Shane Byrne stayed in the championship hunt with two thirds and a second.
Hill said: “It was fantastic to win all three races here as not many riders can say they have done the triple. I think I had a target on my back and the other guys were aiming for it, but that pushed me all the way again.
“I am happy that we can come into my home round at Brands Hatch with the momentum from this weekend and hopefully we can do it again for Swan Yamaha.”
The next stage in the series, round seven, is the Brands Hatch GP on July 20, 21, and 22.
