Watson finished with 45 points to land the top spot in Division One, winning the Cup by a healthy margin of seven points!

The Cobbett Cup was presented to the Club in 1908 by a member, F J Cobbett.

He decreed that the format should be Stableford with a maximum handicap of 21 and played for in August each year.

Playing with a southerly breeze in warm and dry conditions it was near perfect for the 108 players who entered the competition.

Playing off a handicap of seven Watson powered to victory with James Thomas (2) and Richard Eltham (6) both completing their rounds with 38 points to take second and third place in Division One respectively.
