Transfer news: Veteran midfielder Shaun Derry could be on his way out of QPR
Portsmouth manager Michael Appleton has admitted that he would like to sign QPR’s Shaun Derry.
Derry, 34, had a spell at Portsmouth between 2000 and 2002, and although he was a first team regular for the west Londoners last season, manager Mark Hughes could be ready to let him go as he revamps his squad.
“Shaun is a Premier League player. Would I be interested in a Premier League player? Of course I would,” Appleton told Sky Sports News.
“If it became a possibility, then I would be very interested,” he added.
