Transfer news: Strikers Jermain Defoe and Craig Bellamy have been targeted by QPR boss Mark Hughes
Jermain Defoe and Craig Bellamy are included in QPR’s summer transfer wishlist, according to the R’s Vice-Chairman Amit Bhatia.
QPR are looking to strengthen their squad in order to avoid another relegation scrap this season, with Man Utd duo Park-Ji Sung and Fabio Da Silva already joining, as well as goalkeeper Robert Green from West Ham.
“It would be hard to speculate at this point [on Defoe’s transfer status]. It’s not the right thing to do. Mark likes to have a long list of players!,” Bhatia told Sky Sports.
“Many of the players we are after potentially have interest from other clubs also.
“Craig [Bellamy] is definitely a name that has been mentioned, a name we’ve discussed.
“We have been a fan of Craig Bellamy for the last few years, ever since he became available, thats not to say we have not been fans of other players.
“Many names have been tossed about, and who Mark settles on eventually will be his, and we’ll do our best to supoort him.”
