Clint Hill wants his side to ensure that QPR’s survival hopes remain in their hands

QPR defender Clint Hill has warned his side to focus on their results if they are to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The R’s are outside the drop zone on goal difference alone and if Blackburn avoid defeat against Liverpool tonight, they will return to the bottom three.

However, the west Londoners play again on Wednesday against surprise package Swansea before travelling to West Brom, both of whom have all-but mathematically assured top flight status for another year.

“We’re in a better position heading into tomorrow night than we were before the weekend, with the way the results and the goal difference went,” he told the club’s official website.

“The results at the weekend went in our favour, but the next two games are the biggest of our season so far.

“Hopefully, we can take the form of our last two home games into the next two fixtures.”

QPR have secured famous victories over Liverpool and Arsenal in their last two games at Loftus Road and will be looking to do pick up all three points against the Swans tomorrow night.

“They’re safe now, so hopefully we can take advantage of that,” he added.

“We’re at home, so we’ll always fancy ourselves.

“It’s a small pitch, which suits us perhaps more than it will suit them.

“We know they’ll have a lot of possession, but hopefully we can take our chances when they come.”
