QPR transfer news: Angelo Balanta has put pen-to-paper on a new contract
QPR forward Angelo Balanta has signed a new contract at Loftus Road, keeping him at the club until 2014.
The 21-year-old has made 29 appearances for the club, scoring three times and has also spent time on loan at Wycombe and MK Dons.
“I’ve grown up at the Club and come through the youth system, so I’m really pleased to have been given a new contract,” Balanta told the club’s official site.
“I’ve got another two years and I’m looking to push on now. I’m going to come into pre-season, work my socks off and see where that will take me.
“I’ve been out on loan a number of times but I’m looking to establish myself here now.
“When I went out on loan, I was very young and I was trying to get experience. I’m still only 21 and still learning about the game, but I think I need to kick my career on now.
“I know that there’ll be a fight to play regular football here next season. There are obviously a number of senior and high profile players at the Club, but I’d love to establish myself and kick my career on at QPR.”
