QPR transfer news: Adel Taarabt wants to to stay at Loftus Road

Adel Taarabt says he wants to stay at QPR and revealed talks are underway over a new long-term contract at the west London club.

The midfielder was expected to leave the club last summer, with PSG heavily linked with a move for the Moroccan.

However Taarabt remained at Rangers and struggled to adjust to life in the Premier League.

The former Spurs man though is determined to recapture the form he showed during the Hoops promotion season in 2010-11 and give his all for the cause.

“I want to stay at QPR.” Taarabt said.

“I have received offers from other Premier League clubs, but my deal is signed until June 2013 and I want to increase the contract.

“My agent has a document from the club about their long-term project, and it’s very interesting to me.”
