Transfer news: Heidar Helguson has joined Cardiff City

QPR striker Heidar Helguson has left Loftus Road to sign for Cardiff.

The 34-year-old scored nine goals last season and has penned a one-year deal with the ambitious Championship side.

Helguson joined the R’s in 2008 from Bolton Wanderers and scored 28 goals in 80 appearances, including the winning penalty against Chelsea last season.
