The New Zealand international spent six months at White Hart Lane last season, making eight appearances for the north London club.

“I’m really looking forward to going back to Spurs,” he told the club’s official site.

“I had a great time at White Hart Lane for the brief period I was there and just like the last two matches we’ve played, we’re coming up against another big, big club.

“We know it’s going to be a very hard game and if we’re not firing on all cylinders, this league is very unforgiving.

“We’ll need to be mentally and physically strong to get a positive result.

“The only way you can win games in the Premier League is by having a positive, professional approach.”
