Sevilla coach Michel has hit out at new Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero using the La Liga club as a bargaining tool in his move to west London.

The Hoops signed the 25-year-old from Real Madrid in a £7 million move during the transfer window.

But Michel has suggested the Spaniard did not conduct himself honourably.

He told Sevilla’s TV channel: “Through a player of Real Madrid, Granero made contact with me and I related the situation to [Sevilla sporting director] Monchi.

“But in the end he took the decision not to come here. If I were Granero I would have decided to play for Sevilla. I felt used.”
