France boss: Spurs new boy unsettled already

New Spurs signing Hugo Lloris is unhappy with comments made by his new boss Andre Villas-Boas, according to France manager Didier Deschamps.

Lloris joined Tottenham from Lyon for £8million on transfer deadline day, with the expectation of taking the number one shirt from 41-year-old Brad Friedel.

But after Friedel’s superb performance against Norwich on Saturday, Andre Villas-Boas said that Lloris would have a battle on his hands for his place in the side.

And Deschamps has revealed that the Portuguese’s comments have not gone down well the Spurs new stopper.

“Hugo has not appreciated the statements of his coach,” Deschamps said.

“I am not going to create a problem that I do not need today.

“But if it were to happen then it would need some consideration.

“I do not want Hugo to find himself in this situation.”
