Transfer news: Luka Modric has been strongly linked with a transfer to the Spanish giants
Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has cast doubt on Luka Modric’s proposed move to Spain by saying they will not meet the asking price set by Tottenham earlier this week.
Spurs say they will sell the Croatian playmaker for £35million but Perez says Madrid will only meet the asking price in euros, which comes to just over £27million.
“The limit for the Modric deal is 35m euros,” he said. “We will not pay any more than that for him.”
