Tottenham forward Clint Dempsey is looking to get Spurs’ season back on track against Maribor in Thursday’s Europa League tie.

The Slovenian side held the north Londoners to a 1-1 draw and the American is eyeing his side’s first win in the group stage after three draws.

“They scored first, but we showed the character to get back in the game and put ourselves in a position where we are still right in there in the group,” said Dempsey.

“It’s in our hands and that’s all you can ask for.

“Everything is still to play for and it’s about taking care of business in the next three games.”
