Tottenham youngster Danny Rose is excited by the prospect of representing Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics.

The 22-year-old found out that he had been selected in Stuart Pearce’s squad on his actual birthday.

“It’s been a long time since GB have had a team in the Olympics so to be involved, to be able to call yourself an Olympian, especially with the Games in this country and everyone behind you, is something special,” Rose told the club’s official site.

Rose has made 16 appearances for Spurs, scoring once.
