Jermaine Jenas will feature for Aston Villa, should he be fit enough

Jermaine Jenas, on loan from Tottenham and Aston Villa, could play again this season after missing the last three months after suffering an Achilles tendon injury in December.

The midfielder returned to Spurs for treatment and manager Alex McLeish would consider playing him, should the 29-year-old recover.

“With Jermaine, the doctor would keep me up to speed with that but I’m not sure what level he is at,” the Villans boss said.

“We are in touch with Spurs’ medics and he’s getting all his treatment down there.

“He is still a Villa player until the end of the season. I can’t rule him out if he was to become available to us.”

Jenas has had an injury plagued career at Aston Villa, only making three appearances.
