Kyle Walker believes Tottenham have the players and the manager to secure qualification for the Champions League.

Spurs must bounce back from a 1-0 Premier League defeat to Wigan at home last week and though they beat Maribor in the Europa League on Thursday, they face perhaps their stiffest test this afternoon at the home of champions Manchester City.

With boss Andre Villas-Boas still to win over the White Hart Lane faithful, a victory at the Etihad Stadium would pacify the boo-boys but Kyle is convinced the Portuguese is the right man to lead them into the European promised land.

“With the players we have and the players we brought in, I am more than confident [we can finish in the top four],” the England right-back said.

“We just need to keep listening to the gaffer and his tactics.

“If we do that then I most definitely think that we will get the results we need.

“It was disappointing how it went last year but that’s just the way it goes.”
