Third murder charge after 20-year-old stabbed to death in Islington
Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man in Islington have charged a third person with murder.
Calvin Jerelle Collins, 19 of Bloomsbury Street, central London, will appear in custody at Hendon Magistrates’ Court today.
He is charged with the murder of Mohamed Abdullahi, who was found by police with serious injuries in York Way just before 1am on Saturday, June 29.
A spokesman from the Metropolitan Police Service said the 20-year-old, from Kentish Town, was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination on Saturday at the Whittington Hospital mortuary gave cause of death as stab wounds.
Two 19-year-old men; Kyle Sober-Froud, also of Bloomsbury Street, and Dean Winston, of Torriano Avenue, Kentish Town, were also charged with murder and were due to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
