A first look at the results of recent filming in London for the American drama series 24 has been posted online by Fox, the US TV network behind the show.

Last month pictures were posted on social media of a distinctive black cab being blown up on Cobb Street, a quiet road near Liverpool Street.

On January 22, the road was closed off for the explosive scene involving a motorcycle, as well as iconic London symbols such as a red postbox and a telephone booth.

The new season of the hugely-successful show, which ran for 192 episodes between 2001 and 2010, was announced by its producers at a conference in California in January.

It was confirmed Kiefer Sutherland would reprise his role as Jack Bauer for the Live Another Day episodes, which are set four years on from the finale.

Sutherland, 47, has admitted to being nervous about bringing 24 back, saying: “There’s a great impetus for all of us to create something new with the show.”

The series premieres on Fox on May 5 and follows Jack Bauer’s attempts to thwart a terrorist attack on the capital.
